ANTHONY J. HARTMAN
Since entering the practice of law over 30 years ago with a large Cleveland law firm, Tony has tried hundreds of cases involving all kinds of business disputes. He has represented every type of client, from individuals to huge corporations. In recent years, he has devoted a large portion of his practice to securities litigation. While Tony has represented various large brokerage firms, including PaineWebber, Prudential, and Everen Securities, he now only represents individual investors. Over the years he also has handled class actions, hazardous waste litigation, and litigation involving products liability, trucking, fire, insurance coverage, construction, legal and accounting malpractice, general negligence claims, contract disputes, distributorship arrangements, minority shareholder actions, employment law disputes, and zoning and real estate matters. He is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethical standards.
LECTURES:
Tony has been a frequent lecturer to lawyers and trade groups. He was a featured speaker at the 1990 and 1991 Cleveland Bar Association's Annual Securities Law Institute on the subject of "Use of Experts in Securities Litigation" and "Civil RICO Litigation". He has also been a speaker on such subjects as "Emerging Trends in Lender Liability Law" and "Construction Litigation". Tony has been involved in the Construction Law and Business/Commercial Litigation Practice Groups of the American Law Firm Association. He is also member of the Cleveland Bar Association (Securities Law Committee).
